Adam Lambert will be hitting New York City's stage with his fellow "American Idol" alum, Allison Iraheta and Kris Allen. The revelation was made as Ryan Seacrest's "Ryan, Rock My Town" contest unveiled the Big Apple as the city with the most demand for the reunion concert.
NYC came up first, beating Allen's hometown Little Rock. The city that never sleeps took the lead of the online voting in mid-November with over 7,000 demands. The details on when and where the concert will be held are yet to be disclosed, but are promised to be announced soon by Ryan Seacrest.
This free gig will be the first reunion concert for Adam Lambert, Kris Allen and Allison Iraheta and post 2009 Idol Summer Tour, which was wrapped on September 15 at Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, NH. All three singers have all come out with their own debut album. Adam released "For Your Entertainment" on November 23, Allison debuted "Just Like You" on December 1, and Kris put out "Kris Allen" on November 17.

Adam Lambert Debuts New Single, 'For Your Entertainment'
After unveiling his debut-album cover earlier this week — which depicts a look he called "deliberately campy" — Adam Lambert made an appearance on "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" to present his first single, "For Your Entertainment," and chat with the host.
"I am so excited, I popped right out of bed," he said. "Turn it up really loud, guys! I know it's really early, but turn it up!" Seacrest then hit play. "For Your Entertainment" is a synth-heavy pop club tune or, as Lambert put it, "dance music with a glam rock shuffle beat." There are echoes of Lady Gaga, countless '80s tunes and, during the chorus, "Fame." He doesn't show off his vocal range until the end, when he unleashes some of his signature yells.
The single was produced by Dr. Luke, who has worked with Kelly Clarkson, Britney Spears, Daughtry and Mos Def, and written with Claude Kelly, whose credits include collaborations with Spears, Clarkson and Miley Cyrus.
The album, also titled For Your Entertainment, is due November 23. According to Lambert, the disc will feature some songs with an "electro pop feel" and others that combine "guitar, live drums, a real rock sound." He added, "It's fun to create an eclectic collection."
Writers on the album include Pink and Max Martin, who wrote a tune called "What Do You Want From Me?"; Muse, who wrote a song called "Soaked"; and Justin Hawkins (formerly the lead singer and guitarist of the Darkness), who contributed "Music Again." Lambert himself wrote or co-wrote four songs: "Strut," "Aftermath," "Broken Open" and "Down the Rabbit Hole," which will be an iTunes bonus track. While Lady Gaga did write a song for Lambert, she did not contribute vocals. "Hope you're gonna wanna blast it while you're gettin ready for Halloween!! Then at the club!!!" Lambert tweeted just before playing "For Your Entertainment" on Seacrest's show.

Adam Lambert Performing at 2009 American Music Awards
Adam Lambert will perform at the 2009 American Music Awards. The announcement of Adam Lambert's 2009 AMA performance came from the singer himself on the radio this morning. While appearing on Ryan Seacrest's radio show, he Lambert let the world know that he would be performing a song at the 2009 American Music Awards in November. The date of the 2009 AMA's is November 22nd, and we can now add Adam Lambert to the long list of performers on that night. Even if there are a dozen people performing during the 2009 AMA's, it's an easy bet to say that Adam Lambert could be one of the most popular artists appearing on the show.
This is really good news for fans of Adam Lambert, because it will probably be the first live performance of his new single due out shortly. This new Adam Lambert single is going to be off of his first album, and though the album hasn't even been released in stores yet, it has sparked a ton of interest from fans online. This is really Adam Lambert just teasing his fans as well, because he won't even name the track that he is going to be performing. It's possible that he hasn't quite decided which song to perform, but he did note that it won't be Time for Miracles which will be featured in the upcoming movie 2012.
This announcement by Adam Lambert is probably single-handedly going to improve the ratings for the 2009 AMA's and ABC made a really smart decision by getting Adam Lambert to do the show this year. It's one of those things that is going to benefit both the performer and the network, as millions of Adam Lambert fans will be tuning in to see him for the first time since he left the American Idol stage. It will be interesting to see if other artists suddenly decide that they want to perform at the 2009 AMA's as well, knowing that the audience share is about to increase with this latest announcement. It's going to be a big Adam Lambert party on November 22nd, and the audience gets a free front row seat.
Adam Lambert's first album is going to be released on Tuesday, November 24th in stores, and this awards show is going to give him the perfect place to advertise one of his new songs. The song that he performs will most likely be the first single off of the album, so it should be on radio rotations by the time the 2009 AMA's get started. That still won't keep people from tuning in though, because the best part about seeing Adam Lambert perform is the on-stage show that is sure to happen. Now we just have to wait for Sunday, November 22nd to roll around so that we can see what he has planned for ABC that night.

Jennifer Lopez not Replacing Paula Abdul on American Idol
Jennifer Lopez is denying reports that she’s in the running to replace American Idol judge Paula Abdul, who still hasn’t signed a contract with Idol producers to return for season 8 of the FOX hit singing competition.
A rep for Lopez tells PEOPLE exclusively, “The rumor of Jennifer Lopez throwing herself in the ring to take over for Paula Abdul is completely false. Jennifer loves Idol but just as a fan. She just wrapped the feature film The Back-Up Plan, due out January 2010, and will release an album then as well.”
Lopez turned 40 on Friday and her rep adds, “This weekend Jen is celebrating her birthday with friends and family.”
The reports surfaced after Lopez and Idol host Ryan Seacrest were spotted having dinner at Madeo in Los Angeles earlier this month. Seacrest told paparazzi outside Madeo that “Jennifer and Paula would be a hell of a combination” on the show.
